Unhappy PLEASEE HELP . ABS problems . almost crashed scared to death !

I have a 1999 Chevy blazer LS 4.3L I've had issues for a while with my ABS . I use to have to wait for my ABS light to come on in order to break normally. Then my father did something that left the ABS light on always and I had NO issues . well he recently fixed it and shut the ABS light off. I had no issues he did this a week ago . and now today I was driving. And every time I turned left and was stopping or hitting the break it would vibrate and i couldn't push the break down and it made a noise and threw my foot off the break. It doesn't happen when I am driving and stopping while going straight Or turning right. Also ABS light is still off. And doesn't come on when I experience this while turning left. Please please help , this is my only vehicle , and I always have my 6 year old with me ! Could it be a sensor ? Or the module . please someone help me.

Sounds like a problem with one of the sensors. Sometimes they'll get something on them that blocks their ability to see, or they can actually work loose. I changed out both sensors in the front and haven't had a problem since, but I'm not a mechanic. Hopefully one of the others can give you a definite answer to the problem.

Thank you . I'm hoping its just a sensor . I've been looking around like crazy and I've read multiple places that when its the module multiple things go wrong . it just randomly happened I'm just looking for answers asap to try and get it fixed tomorrow before my daughter comes home from her fathers. How much did you pay for the sensors ? Did you have to change the wheel hub or can you change only the sensors?

easy fix to the abs, take the fuse out. ive got the same prblem, and since i took the fuse out, a year ago if not a few months more,it hasnt bothered me once... and driving has not altered at all... now im assuming that my sensors are gone or something else, ive replaced my passenger side hub as ive had bolts breaking off... but i still havent gotten around to doing the actual abs work. temp solution tho would be taking the fuse out

My dads taking it today to look at. And may I ask why the hubs would need to be changed ? I'm sorry I've seen mixed things on here that people always jump to that and sometimes its completely unnessacary. Both front hubs are brand new. No play or noise coming from them they got changed in December. I'll let ya'll know what happens when he fix it. For now I have to use their equinox til they fix my baby !

you have the two separate hubs, abs and none abs, only difference i know of is the wire... that would be the issue more then the hub itself, one small tare on the inside of the cable due to it not being built right would cause a false reading. that would be a manufacture issues unless installed with no care...

Yeah well my dad did tell me that the wire was ripped that's why I use to have to wait for ABS to kick on and why it use to stay on. Idk how he fixed it to shut it off. I'm guessing maybe spliced the wire and reconnected it. I have seen at auto zone I can just get the sensor that goes on the hub. That's why I was curious as to why I would have to change the hub. Cause I can purchase separately. Ive also read that whatever way it activates its always the opposite ? Correct me if I'm wrong. But basically because it happens when I turn left. It would be my right tire ?
