Default Plow?

First off, I know very well the s10/s15 chassis is no basis for a plow.

knowing that. i have a very small driveway, and plan to take the plow off when not in use. as to not beat the **** out of the suspension on the road. i do prefur plowing to snow blowing, heated cabin, no snow blowing back in your face, it just sucks, always has. so my question and point of this thread is to know what the weak points are on the front end, and if anyone knows a good plow system to look into.

electric is perfectly acceptable, i am going to upgrade the alternator and add a battery for audio and lighting propose's. so while im plowing, turn those off, and the extra power will be available to the plow.

thanks in advance

As long as the plow isn't too heavy and it's only occasional duty, I don't see any issues. Even the electrical system would be up to the task in my opinion. A bigger dual post battery couldn't hurt...

Check snow dog plow systems.. have to find one for the S10.i know they have them because I was looking in to one also. should bolt up the same.. aside from the mounting bracket and power connections the whole system is on the plow itself.

the more i think on this, the more i would really like electric. no hoses, no fluids, and electric motors will most likely be lighter than a hydrolic pump. a quick search of craigslist leads me to believe that 6' 6" is the standard in s10 plows. and if i get poly, or a shorty i dont see an issue.

thanks for the help guys.
