Default PO-410 Error Code

I have been dealing with a PO-410 error code now for the last year and a half. I've replaced the air pump 3 different times, 30amp fuse, and just recently rerouted the hose assembly up and around my battery per a suggested fix by a repair shop. http://acdelcotechconnect.com/pdf/tsb/tsb_04D-183.pdf

Anyways...error code keeps popping up (literally every day), and the pump is functioning properly as far as I can tell. Ever since rerouting the hose assemble up into the fender hole...you can definitely hear the air pump start and stop.

The shop suggested that the error is still occurring because of one of two reasons:
1) Two check valves may be leaking which may be keeping the exhaust from going to pump???
2) Vacuum switch may be stuck open

I am finding it difficult to find additional details around replacing these items. Any suggestions on where I can find additional information?

As with every code, you must run through the diagnostic sheets and cover each applicable step. It is quite possible that the solenoid (which is bolted to the air pump itself) isn't functioning properly and/or the check valves are not sealing properly. Typically, when the check valves fail, the rubber elbows on the pump side of the check valves fail which causes a leak in the system and can set the P0410 code.

Check out the OBD2 Code Index link in my signature for the P0410 diagnostic charts. Also, try searching for P0410 to see what other people have done to remedy the code.
