Default Air Bag light again

I've read several posts about the air bag light being on, as I have just gotten my 1999 Blazer LT I'm concerned about the inspection. The dealer I bought it off of says there is nothing wrong with the system except a short in the wire sending the signal that the air bag is functional. That's a bunch of bull. I'm just wondering if I take it to a GM dealer are they going to charge me an arm and a leg to diagnose it? The dealer ought to pay as far as I'm concerned. Any thoughts anyone?

I guess I should clarify the mechanic where I bought it is basically telling me there isn't anything he can do about it. I have some time left on the warranty should I make them fix it?

It could very well be a corroded connection somewhere in the system.

As far as how much they will charge you, well... That depends on how competent the tech is. They'll likely charge you straight time to diagnose it which means it could be an hour or it could be 10. It all depends on how good the tech is.
