possible brakes issue?

Default possible brakes issue?

hey i have been having an issue with my truck. when i drive it sometimes sounds like a squeeling sound..no when im on the brake pedal but when im off it. its really pissing me off and i dont know if its a possible warped rotor. or maybe if my caliper is seizing or not.
maybe someone has had the same problem and want to let me know whats the deal lol.

Have the same problem that started a day after I changed the brakes, I plan on looking at it more this weekend. Let me know if you hear anything or figure something out.

If you have not replaced the pads, then it could be a warped rotor or a completely worn out brake pad. Otherwise if you just replaced the pads/rotors did you useanti-squel compound on the caliper pins? Otherwise I am not sure what else could cause this other than surface rust on the rotor.

I have the same squeeling sound when I'm driving slowly. Then it dends to go away when I pick up speed

I put on brand new pads and the rotors looked to be in good shape, I also used the anti-squeal.....so I don't know.....guess I will look at it this weekend

I have no clue as to why mine are making that noise. Maybe I need to change them again

If you didnt replace the rotors or have the rotors machined, then that might be the cause of the noise.

Lennyblazer is right, if you did a pad swap then you need to get your rotors turned. The rotors are probably glazed and needed to be turned. You always want to put a new face to a new face when doing brakes, so that when breaking them in the two faces match.
