Default Possible leak at air intake duct

Is there a way to tighten down the metal clasps at the front of the air duct that connects to the top of the throttle body? I have a vacuum leak and know these systems are very sensitive. I can see a small space at the front between the duct and body that I think could be letting air in, but I wonder if I have to replace the whole duct or if there's a way to tighten down those metal clasps.

Your air intake and a vacuum leak are two completely different things. If you have trouble with your intake clamp just duct tape it. Vacuum leak is a problem that needs to be tracked down.

You can find a vac leak by spraying brake cleaner around your vac lines. If, when you spray a line, the engine revs higher, that's where your leak is.

There are two kinds of brake cleaner, one is flammable one is not. Make sure you get the flammable one. The non-flammable is chlorinated and exposed to heat will make something very similar to mustard gas and kill you!

Yea well this was learned by experience. I was trying to pop out a bearing with heat and so called "liquid air". The stuff you blow out computer boards out with. Well I figured, smart guy that I am, you turn it upside down and spray it on hot metal should work pretty good.
Wrong, ambulance ride and ventilator for three days.
Still argue with the wife that I don't have brain damage.
She is most defiantly wrong!

Well she might be correct, who the heck knows, I might have brain damage!

How do you tell?

I used to play with that stuff and fire when I was younger, didn't get an ambulance ride though... Feel like I did it wrong now...
