Default Power doors and mirrors won't work

My friend wants to purchase a 99 chevy blazer LS, a great deal, but the power locks and power mirrors don't work. The Power windows do, though. He can manually lock the doors from the inside, but the hatch will not lock, and on top of it, the ignition key does not fit the hatch lock, and the owner only has the one key. We were wondering what might be the possible culprits to this problem, and how pricey it could be to fix it. Plus, is it something that can be done on our own or are we looking at taking it to be serviced? As of now, anyone can open the back hatch and get in. Any info appreciated!

Have you checked the fuse? Does the key open the side doors and just not the rear hatch?

We are going to check the fuse tonight, we are hoping that this is the issue. Yes, the doors lock with the key, just not the hatch. If it isn't the fuse, then we were wondering what to check next. And if it's a wiring issue, we were wondering if that is possible to check on our own.

I'll look through the wiring tonight IF I get some time (no promises - I've been swamped with work) to see what else could be the problem.
