Power recline in 2000 Bravada stopped working
Power recline stopped working in my 2000 Bravada, all other functions are working (has heat, lumbar, memory as well). Weird thing is it I was moving the recline and released the switch and it continued moving to the fully upright position and then wouldn't move again. Talk about an uncomfortable seating position. Trying to track down if it is a motor or switch problem. I can hear something click when I move the switch each direction so am thinking motor. There are 4 wires to the motor from the switch, light blue and light green (medium wire thickness) and thinner black and white with black stripe. Looking for help with the wiring. Do the light blue and green work the motor forward and backward? If I put 12v positive to one and ground to the other, will the seat move one way and if I reverse them, it moves the other way? What are the thinner black and white with black stripe used for? A lot of work to remove and then separate the bottom and back of a seat, only want to do once if possible. (Cross-posted on s10forum.com as well).

Yes, light blue and light green move the recline motor forward and backward, depending on the direction of the current. The other two wires you mention are for the Hall Effect Position sensor. Careful not to leave current on the motor if it doesn't move. You might be able to disconnect and work at the C302 connector or at the memory module connector without taking the seat out or apart if it is in an accessible location.
