I have the 96 Blazer and neither power seats work all all. Is there a relay for them? I believe the fuse is good.
I can not check the wire harness under seat UNLESS i remove them due to the seats are all the way down
TSB get done by the shop BUT does it have to be the original owner to get the work done for warranty ???

Most common issue that causes this from my experience is the seats being moved back and forth tend to rub through the wire insulation causing it to ground out and not work.
Sadly like you mention I've had to remove the seats to get to it a little electrical tape and some air brake tubing (got this free from work) for DIY conduit to stop it from happening again fixed it right up (if the wires are really bad you may need to cut out the bad section and solder new wire in) in which case i recommend shrink sleeve to cover the solder joints then cover it all with conduit(easily acquired from your local auto parts store).
The conduit is just extra insurance to stop a reoccurence down the road it's not really necessary but I recommend it.

you're problem is most likely not under the seat but under foot. Peel the carpet back-from under the brake pedals back toward the seat(not the easiest thing to do) and inspect the wiring. Seen many of these. The wires go into a plastic sleeth(many) there will be an orange wire....you'll figure it out. Re-splice/re-connect and see![:-]

Yep, you were right, it was the orange wires they were corroded and fixed at one time i saw the butt connectors. The only thing that does NOT work is the passenger Lumbar i hear the motor but nothing happens, but its ok we can live without it. Thank you SO SO much for all the help! Now what do you think about cutting that hole to access the fuel pump????????

let us know if you try that(floor cutting). I did it once on a s-10 pick up. I personally would(esp. since you previously had it down) just bite the ole bullet and drop it as per the book. If you end up cutting it let us know as you can probably inherit some customers[:-][:-][:-][:-][:-] here o[&o]n this thread![&o][&o][&o][&o]Jerry
