Default Power Seats Mystery

I have a 2000 LT 4x4 4 dour chevy blazer. Both my power seats quit working recently. They dont slide back and foward or tilt at all. Strange thing is the Lumbar still works in them so there getting power. Does anybody know what could be wrong. The quicker the better im trying to sell it.

Power comes from the same wire but is fed to the seat through 2 different plugs for lumbar and the other controls. My guess is: follow the wiring harnesses going forward from the drivers seat, you're interested in the Orange wires in each harness. Where they merge together with the wire coming from the power seat circuit breaker the connection went bad. Under the seat: Lumbar connector is the 4x2 rectangular connector, 8x1 flat connector powers the other switch controls (assuming 8 way non-memory seat).

There's a known issue with the wire corroding under the carpet...especially if you live in a cold climate. Snow and along with it salt drip off your feet, through the carpet then infiltrate the wiring. Sometimes you can wiggle the wires from behind the seat to get it working, if not you'll have to pull the carpet and replace some wiring. Mine goes forward fine but not back so I wiggled the wires to get it back a bit and told my wife not to mess with it. Good thing we're about the same size so she doesn't have to put blocks on her shoes. Someday I'll get around to fixing it but it's not high on my priority list right now. I think you have to remove the seat to pull the carpet but I've seen people just cut a slice to get at the wiring.
