Default Power Steering Leak - Confirm?

K so i did a quick search on some other people's issues with power steering and came across a similar issue to what i'm having. i'm finding the drips around the front drivers side of the vehicle and its even going so far as to leak out where the tow hook is on the drivers side... so i have the feeling its the PS line cooler system leaking... this correct? any write ups on how to fix this? its my 3rd day owning a jimmy lol and i need to get it dealt with by the 20th @ midnight with a safety and e-test done so i can register more than a temporary plate on it.

Hmmm Power Steering cooling line..never heard of such an animal. You obviously need to replace the pressure line to the pump-and from what you describe a new pump is is in order as well... Sorry but that what it looks like W3

Some blazers indeed do have power steering coolers. It looks like just metal lines bent and running in front of the radiator. Its pretty straight forward to replace. I had a leak on mine and it was a small one just in front of where the pressure line went onto the cooler. I simply loosened the line and slid it onto the cooler more and covered the leak and tightened it up and its gone for now. That i know is just a patch but it worked for me. First ya gotta find where its leaking then fix the leak. It could be a line or the cooler . Heres a thread covering the topic.

And here is a thread showing how to replace it. A simple search for steering cooler is all i did.

hmmmm that second link is indeed a MUCH better idea... i do have the cooler lines running in front of the rad so i might as well just get the necessary hardware for a trans cooler to run instead of the crappy exposed lines that are there! ty for doing the search and yea :/ i suck for this but in my defence.... vbulletin is not the easiest to search some days - use it on the j-body forum i'm also on but its a newer version - 4.0.7

on a side note... i've been looking quite extensively at this trans cooler @ the yard that i have a feeling i could grab up for about $10 or $20 tomorrow... just need to make sure the line fittings are the same size so i can actually utilize it and that its not leaking.
