Problem with the #1 cylinder
I have a 1996 Blazer that is having a bad miss in it. I get about 11 mpg with and very little power. I took it today and had someone to tell me about the check engine light and he said it was a #1 cylinder problem.. So I changed out the wires and the plugs, dis. cap and the rotor and still have the same problem. Any ideas what to try next.
stop in at your local auto store(o'reilleys, napa, checker, etc.) and theyll be able to read your code for free then report back to us and let us know the code, itll make it just that much easier for us to point you in the right direction.
It might not be the cylinder at all. Have you checked your O2 sensors? They tend to give off codes that refer to cylinders but have nothing to do with them. It's weird but true, my O2 sensor that was at my converter was bad but told me that cylinder #5 was misfiring, which it wasn't.
