Default Pulling a 97 4.3 Vortec....

I am just wondering where I can find, if anywhere, the best step by step for pulling it.
I spun a bearing and am going to attempt a rebuild.....
Any advice would be helpful
Thanks

easy stuff starter engine mounts tranny bolts usually everything connected to the belt for more room all connections to engine fuel line (swing ac out of way do not disconnect) power steering line torque convertor bolts not sure if you will be able to slide it out with the engine

I pulled a engine in out my 1997 in my drive way it was a manual so alittle different in my opinion more hard but just take your time

ive also pulled one out a 1995 auto it was pretty easy the hardest part is finding a way to get it over the front diff it can be done without lowering or removing diff don't do more work you don't have to my opinion

all u need is wrench and a large flathead
another person helps to

1 drain antifreeze and oil
2 unplug EVERYTHING starting with battery. from the engine
2.5 remove fan shroud and fan
3 take off intake, down to the manifold including air box and steel cables, and the dizzy
4 remove all belt driven accessories. move the power steering pump where the air box was, kinda twist the ac pump and move it left, on top of antifreeze reservoir

5 take off antifreeze lines, and heater core lines
6 take off all brackets, (there are a few hidden ones on the top back side of the engine)

7 exhaust
8 take out starter, flywheel bolts accessed thru starter hole
9 flywheel bolts
10 motor mount bolts, and if u have awd drop the front diff, 2 bolts on either side. 18mm you will need to cut a closed end wrench in half to get to the nuts inside the frame.

11 CHECK THE ENTIRE ENGINE TOP TO BOTTOM MAKE SURE NOTHING IS STILL ATTACHED THATS NOT THE BELL HOUSING BOLTS.
NEED HELP WITH that ba$tard of a bell housing bolt??? Here
https://blazerforum.com/forum/engine...ng-bolt-80854/
12 support the engine with hoist while you remove the bell housing bolts ( 8 total )
i would do the top drivers side bolt FIRST. need help see below.

13 pull that bad boy outta there.

helpfull hints, remove the bumper so the hoist can get further up in it
if you can leave the exh manifolds attached to the pipes

done.
