So I tried to change my vapor canister purge valve today and it will not fit with my purge valve hose, its to loose and to me it doesnt create a good seal. I rechecked the part and I have the correct one, plus I put the old valve back on and it snaps tightly, so nothing is out of place. I ordered the part from Rockauto.com, its part #214633. I have a 2001 4door blazer, any ideas where I can get an aftermarket hose, having trouble finding one. Before it comes up Im pretty sure the junk yard is out, I need a smaller hose, not the original

 

Some models need a new hose or just use a hose clamp to squeeze down on the original hose.

 

I know I need a new hose, just curious if anyone had to change it out and new a part # or where to find one, I had no luck locating one. The end of the hose has a clip on it and the hose itself is pretty hard, so if I cut the old clip off I still might not be able to use a hose clamp due to the stiffness of the hose. But guess Ill take a closer look later.
