Put new fuel injectors & throttle body mod... now it wont run
So i ordered some new injectors from ebay, and while i was in there i did the tb mod (clipping the scoop off)... then when i started it, the throttle was hesitant like it was gonna choke out... i drove it around for a little bit and it seemed like the choke out feeling went away at about 1600 rpms... then it would cruise fine but i noticed the trans didnt lock up... which is weird cuz it did yesterday... i was kinda thinking that was because of the mod on the tb... but then today omw to work, it didnt want to accelerate from a stop... no matter how soft or hard i was on the gas... there was knocking, but yesterday on my old stuff it was running fine... 🤷♂️🤔 i turned around and tried to get it as close to my house as i could, but at some point it was sounding really bad... i noticed that it will run in nuetral but when u put it in gear u get no throttle response... so im at a loss... im gonna go home and get the stuff to put the old ones back in and see what happens... the new spider is off ebay and maybe its faulty... i dont have another flapper to swap back in so i cant change that back rn, but tomorrow or wednesday i can go back to the junk yard and grab one...
any help, any tips would be much appreciated

So it was 100% the injectors... idk why, if they were faulty or what... i did notice that when i installed them they didnt really click in... the old ones there was definitely a click to lock in type feel and they were solid stuck when i re-installed... the new ones, just fit in the hole real tight... when i removed the plenum to change them back a couple of them felt lose in the hole... idk if maybe they popped out under load or what... no refund cuz i bought these back in april and only just yesterday installed them... thats what u get for buying ebay parts tho
Interesting. I had the same issue with an ebay fuel spider, the injectors fit tight but not secure.
Also, the injectors were difficult to route, and a little stiff, and two of the lines crimped or kinked. Finally, one of the injector lines broke in half completely when I twisted it a little too hard.
That's what you get for buying the cheapest of the cheap ebay parts.
