Default Question about the exhaust flange after the cat 1999 Blazer

Hello,
I want to bolt up a glasspack that has a 3" 3 bolt flange on it. It looks like the pipe going into the flang is 3" on the truck but i'm wondering if the bolt holes for the glasspack will line up. Has anyone had experience bolting up an after market muffler with a 3" flange?

Thank you,
James

Well, IMO, your best bet would just be to cut it off and weld it. That's what I always do. That way there is no chance of leaks. But I do believe the 3 bolt flange is a standard pattern if the size of the pipe is the same, so it should match. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong since I always weld em lol.

Thanks for the reply,
I wanted to go with a bolt on just case the sound is not to my liking or i get tired of it. That way i can bolt the stock muffler back up. Iv'e had glasspacks on older inline 6's and liked the way they sounded. I'm hoping i can get a similar sound with a v6.

Well,
Picked one up today, doesn't fit The Blazer's flange is way bigger. I only paid $15 for it so no big deal. I figure i'll cut a flange out of an S10 or Blazer at the junkyard and make my own bolt on. I can't seem to find just the flange at any parts stores for some reason.
