Default Question on brakes

OK now the engine is fixed I can work on 1 of my two remaining issues (the tranny is later). OK. I have a constant rattling on the driver side wheel. No it is not the hub. I actually replaced it once thinking it was. but while working on the alignment one day I was getting ready to take the caliper off. Now without the brakes applied the caliper rattles. I figure it's because the rotors are original and not totally flat (need machining) and it's causing the rotor to rattle around on the slide bolts. It is pretty much only doing this on the driver side. Now my brakes have always been a little week on the grab. I mean I can mash them down and they just don't seem to grab like they should. I've replaced the cylinders in the back and have given it multiple bleeds. I'm thinking the caliper on the right side (passenger side) could be stuck or not getting proper grab. But I've read a little that the metering valve on the 95's was problematic. Could someone with a little more familiarity with these brakes give me some insight. Oh and yes, the rattle goes away when I start to apply the brakes. And I've checked. the hub is still nice and tight (no give).
