grandsopns 98 jimmy,was stuck in 4 lo(accidently hit 4 lo?),,so i pushed all the buttons last night and it was a miracle...4 wheel working...drove around (shifted it many times)all good....parked inside all night to thaw it out(and change the oil,lube,check frt diff) and now stuck in 4 hi....banged on shift motor w/hammer...now working....
Question,i have the shift motor from 2001 blazer that i removed last summer...ANYthing i should know about swaping them....thanks for any help!

 

The are both early Gen 2's so it just might work swapping them out. Pull the one off the 98 and compare the two. If they are exactly the same I'd give it a try.
