Default Question on starter??

I have a 97 s10 blazer 4x4 w/4.3 vortec.the starer keeps giving me problems bad.the bolt on the inside toward the motor tightens good, but the one on the outside will not tighten.the whole is stripped.i forgot to look and see if the bolt whole runs all the way threw on the outside whole, that way i could drill it out and put a longer bolt and a lock nut on top.better than changing the motor.any ideas guy's,it is leaving me in a bind.thanks alot Brandon

ps it is not tapable b/c the lip is broke off one side of the whole.

Default RE: Question on starter??

So the block is broken where the outer bolt goes through? If this is the case, you've got a rather bad problem... If the whole is still intact, then you can use a helicoil kit to restore the threads to the original size.
