question on temp gauge

Talking question on temp gauge

hi I have a question on the temp gauge the gauge was working fine and then my starter went out so I replaced the starter and now the temp gauge does not read at all it is all the way down where it says temp. it is a 1998 Chevy blazer LS with the 4.3l v6 in it I would greatly apperatchete any help thank you mike.

The first thing I would check is the temp sensor and the temp sensor wiring. The temp sensor is located on the driver side cylinder head

As you can see, it is a lot easier to get too with the spark plug wires removed
