Quick and easy question

I've searched and searched the web, but these things vary so much from vehicle to vehicle. Where is the blower motor resistor on a 2000 S10 2.2 pickup? I keep reading that it's either under the glove box etc, or under the hood passenger side etc. My fan only works on the 'hi' setting (for heat and AC), and I thought I'd just put in a new one. Thanks in advance! This forum has been so helpful, especially capt hook with my alternator issues.

Got er done. Just a small update, on my truck (2000 S-10 2.2), I did not have to cut any holes in the cover part, the resistor was mounted right on top of it. Very easy to replace. But as always, no simple task with this thing can go smoothly, the connecting wire pigtail was burned out as well, and they didn't have them at the store, so I had to throw in a trip to the junkyard, and stole one off of a '95 blazer, spliced it up and hooked everything up. Fan switch working on all 4 settings now
