Quick ECM question

Default Quick ECM question

if i was to replace my ECM with one from advance in my 1995 blazer would i have to take it to gm to be reprogrammed? or should it just plug and go?

You'll need to get it programmed, as these units are used for different drive trains and accessories. All you need is to provide your VIN when you take it for programming.

I bought my ECM from Napa, and they programmed it for me.
$125.00 to program.
I'd be interested to see what a dealer would charge, but I'd guess well in access of $125.00.
