radiator
shop said my radiator had crack in bottom
i checked online and noticed that aluminum core with plastic body
is there good silicone or epoxy that i could apply to the outside bottom of the radiator to help "plug the leak" - i figure i would need one that could deal with the heat.
thanks

Tried to reply the same day you posted, but got errors.
New radiator is my recommendation. If the crack is ONLY on the plastic tank, then you *may* be able to clean it up, rough it up, then seal it with some epoxy (something that will work on a fiber filled thermo plastic). I wouldn't trust it as the tanks go through a bit of thermal expansion.

Considering that a new aftermarket radiator is between $120 & $200 and that a new factory piece through GMPartsDirect.com is $240, I would think that somewhere around $150 shouldn't be out of the question for a good used part. I'm not trying to steal a sale, but I do know that I would pay FAR less than that for a used OEM piece from my local Pick-n-Pull yard.
Then $150 it is, plus $20 shipping to lower 48 US(or pickup in Bloomington, IN).
Any takers?
