Question Random Loss Of Power

Got two issues with my 97 Blazer (2WD, 4.3L), not sure if they are related.

For awhile I have been having issues with my key getting stuck in the ignition. I found some people saying that it is possible that the switch in the console on the shifter is the culprit.

Just recently it started losing power. Twice it has happened as I have gone to start the car. Total power loss, no lights, gages, beeps or anything else. Might have well disconnected the battery. Today it shut off as I came around a corner. I believe it was do to power loss but I am not 100% sure. By the time I got it to the side of the road the power had returned. I am worried that it is going to lose power while I am driving down the freeway so hoping I can find the problem soon.

Is it possible that the ignition switch is failing causing it to lock the key in and lose power? Would the CKP sensor be able to cause this power loss?

Also, I believe I may have a short with the cabling connected to the passenger seat that goes to the lumbar control I believe. I found that wiggling the seat was causing some voltage drop. The radio would kill off and there was issues with the alarm system. It would fail to lock/unlock. Wiggling the passenger seat will cause the problem to go away. I have since unplugged the connector under the seat and it seems to have resolved that problem. Could this be related to my other issues?

Thanks guys for any ideas or places to start.

Since you have a '97 my first suspicion would be the ignition switch (not the lock cylinder where you insert the key). 1997 had a run of bad switches.
