Exclamation Really stuck on this one..

So I recently purchased an 03 s-10 blazer 4door 2wd 4.3l auto, I am having a serious problem with the gauge panel.. It illuminates and the oil pressure and volt meter work but nothing else works not the gear selector or mileage either. I have checked the fuses and the connection at the top of the gauge cluster but that did not change anything. I searched forums and all that i could find was people saying to buy a new gauge cluster, so I bought one and when i plugged it in the same result. This is a bit frustrating any help is awesome...

have you traced back the gauge cluter wiring to see if everything is hooked up on the other end? After some work was done, I had no tach. turns out it was unhooked.
*worth a shot*

Just about all of the gauges are run by the IC Logic circuits which are fed information on the serial bus line from the PCM & BCM. You really should get someone to put a full feature scan tool on it. With bi-directional controls, you can manipulate the cluster via the scan tool moving the gauges. If the gauges do not move, then there is either a problem with the cluster, or a problem with the wiring to the cluster.

Talking Found the Culprit

Thanks for the responses, I couldn't find anyone with a full scan tool and all i have is the hypertech programmer so I ended up tracing the wires back toward the firewall and AHA!! There was the problem there was one wire that was previously tapped into for some reason... there was a stripped part of the wire and another wire wrapped around it leading into the dash. I guess it was grounding out because i removed the wire and replaced my fuse again and my gauges work great.
