Rear Brake Lights
I am havingsome wiring issues with my 1996 4dr Blazer.
[ul][*]When I have my headlights OFF and I press the brakes the front bottom signal lights turn off then when I release the brakes they come back ON.[*]When I have my headlights ON and ALL the rear lights turn ON (for the exception of the reverse lights) as if I am holding down my brakes the whole time.[/ul]
Anyone have any clue on where I can possibly start troubleshooting this problem?

RE: Rear Brake Lights
This sounds like a malfunctioning multifunction switch. The brake lights and the turn signals are routed through the multifunction switch in the column. If you mess with the hazard switch, does the problem go away? Some have been able to just replace the hazard switch (run a search) and have it fix their problems, but this does not sound exactly like what others have experienced.

RE: Rear Brake Lights
my blazer's brake lights was working great earlier today while it was in the shop getting saftied, and i drove it out and then only the middle brake light was working, tail lights still work. is it the multifunction switch? and the rear hatch doesn't seem to open when u want it to. with key remote or button on dash. it sumtimes opens after u drive it and put it into park. lol. any ideas, specially on the brakes would be great.

RE: Rear Brake Lights
Concerning your brake lights, did you try what was suggested above?
