I am planning on replacing the rear brake line (I have a rusted line that brew out) I plan to replace from the coupler as close to the master cylinder/ABS module as possible to the furthest back coupler.
I have 2 questions:
1) I was planning on using steel lines. Do I need a Double flare tool or a Bubble flare tool?
2) Is there another option rather than the steel line replacement that is better or easier?

By the way I am working on a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4.3l engine 4dr 4wd with ABS

 

1. i would use the double flare.
2. the brake lines they use these days you can bend by hand without kinking them pretty easily.(they are kinda a grayish green color.)

 

you shouldnt need any flaring tool, if you just buy the exact length lines and use connectors. BUT you said your going from the abs unit. i did all metal brake lines the other day on i believe a 95 tahoe. and it uses the common 3/16ths for front but every end that went to the abs unit was bigger so i did have to cut and reflare every line, sucked.
