Rear brake squeeling

Rear brake squeeling
OK, I have replaced the rotors and pads on both sides in the rear. Onecaliper slide was siezed up so i cleaned it all up and got it moveing freely again. That wasn't the problem. Everything was lubed up and cleaned up but still the squealing. The pads do fit in VERY tight . Is it possible that they are not sliding good and causing the noise?

RE: Rear brake squeeling
When I did the rear brakes on my Bravada, I had to push the little metal clip on top of pads in the caliper up some with a screwdriver to keep it from rubbing on the outer edge of the rotor. This was the cause of my squeal after that repair. Drove me nuts.

OK i didn't notice that but will definately check it out. Are you talking about a clip on the pad itself or the clips that hold the pads in?

Let me see if I can find an illustration...
There ya go. Courtesy of PartsAmerica.com - Raybestos Quietstop Ceramic Pads
The parts I'm talking about were the clips that the pads slide into they are the ones in the lower left and right corners of the picture. For some reason the section that crosses over the rotor was tipped towards the rotor and rubbing the outer edge.
