Default Rear Dome Light Switch

I just picked up a 97 Blazer 4x4 for a great price and low miles and I while looking it over I noticed that the rear dome light (when all the other doors are shut and the roller switch is off) when I move the switch to manual it doesn't come on nor does it come on with I only have the hatch window up. It does come on when the doors are open and the roller switch is on. Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you checked the connections on the switch? On mine it had 4 connectors and one was constant ground, one was constant power, and another was the signal from the dome light to turn on the cargo light (I think it was something like that.) So check to see if all the connections are connected. If they are, someone else will have to help you out, as I don't have mine to play around with for you anymore.

Found out the latch switch was corroded and locked up. A little bit of lubricant goes a long way.

Glad you figured it out, I removed my rear light, to put in a 3rd brake light inside. I kinda miss it LOL
