Default Rear glass lift struts

Been having trouble lifting the back glass on my 02 Xtreme. The first six inches feels like it's vacuumed-sucked down. Once I get it up past there, it lifts fine.
I replaced the both of them in 2015 so I really don't remember how well they lifted when new. Just don't want to replace them if it's supposed to be hard to lift at the beginning. If I need new ones, looking for a recommendation. The TuffSupports I have now are 11.02" - 17.52", $36/pr.

You want that vacuum feeling, helps to make sure the rear glass closes all the way. Might even be a safety thing in case the latch fails while driving down the road. If is getting to be a PITA to open it, then it might be time to change them. When mine failed, it wouldn't hold the glass in the open position.
