Rear hatch keeps blowing fuses

Rear hatch keeps blowing fuses
I have a '99 Jimmy and I've been having problems with the rear glass blowing the fuse. I doesn't seem to matter if I use the button on the dash or the remote, the glass will open but after a few uses, the fuse goes and the glass wont open and it takes the power door lock buttons on the inside with it. Has any one else experienced this, or know how to fix it? Or do I just have to try to find a short somewhere. In the meantime I just pulled the relay and this keeps the fuse from blowing, but I can't open the glass.

Sounds like you either have a failing glass latch actuator or a short in the system. Electrical gremlins are quite difficult to nail down...

I had this same problem in my 96. took me a month and a million fuses. it was my cig lighter.
the original had went out, and i replaced it with a fancy one from pep boys. for some reason it kept shorting that fuse.
hope this helps.
