Well, I just ran into this problem yesterday. I have one of those friends that slams everything. I popped the rear glass for him with the button on the dash and he got his stuff out and slammed the glass shut again. We went to lunch and when I got out of the truck, I tried to lock the doors with the button and nothing happenned. They cycle with the ignition when you start or shut the truck off and they work with the remote. But nothing with the buttons. So later when I tried to open the rear hatch from the outside, nothing. The button doesn't work to release either.

I'm thinking the whole circuit is dead maybe because he broke sometihing in the actuator, wiring harness or whatever is in that unit back there.

Any thoughts? I'm going to call around today and see what some mechanics think.

What are you working on? Have you checked the fuses?
