rear seat mechanism

Default rear seat mechanism

I think the wire to the seat release is loose on the other end..How do I fix this?

If I were you, and this is only if I was in your position I would rip out the seat or at least put it down to the point where I could see the other end of the cable. It could be the latch, the wire could be snapped. But could you please describe if it has any tension at all?

is this the front seat or rear fold down? I've read of a number people who had the plastic handle break on the manual front seats, I wonder if there's a loose or slop feel before it finally breaks?

rear fold down...has some tension, but seems way to long at the headrest end so I'm guessing its at the other end
