Default Rear Tire Carrier

I have a friend who is parting out his 94 chevy s-10 blazer. He has a rear tire mount for his spare that I would be interested in buying if I knew if it would fit my 1997 2dr chevy blazer.

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but do you guys think that I could get it to work? Are the body styles that different?

No, it won't fit. He has a different body style. Check your local salvage yards for one that ranges from a 96-05.

I also believe there are mounts for the tire carrier inside the rear quarter panel and tailgate as well, without those the weight of the tire will tear the sheet metal.
