When I go to turn on my rear wiper I just hear a loud buzzing sound, like it's trying to work...not sure how I could get it working? any ideas?

probably will have to pull off the rear panel to get at the actual motor and make sure that nothing is stripped or hung up.

What year is your Blazer? I have the same exact problem on my '96. I replaced the rear wiper motor, but the problem still exists.Has anybody else resolved this problem?

Take the gear housing apart. The wiper shaft is seized in the gear housing. You can tap out the shaft, clean it up (with fine sanpaper), re-lube with silicone based grease and re-assemble. Takes about 2 hours, not too hard.
