Default Recommended Head Gaskets?

So my 01 Bravada started leaking antifreeze yesterday and I took it to the shop. Long story short, they pressure tested the cooling system and its getting exhaust gases in it (either cracked head or head gasket) and pressurizing the system up to about 20 pounds, pushing antifreeze out of the overflow. So I am going to take it in and get the heads looked at and head gaskets replaced.

With that being said, I bought this Bravada from my father in law who bought it new. He has already done the head gaskets twice in the last 15 years on it. So this would be the third time. Aside from having the heads checked, which I will do, is there a recommended head gasket that I should purchase that will last longer, or is this normal time for them in the 4.3 engines?

Have competent machinist check heads and block for cracks and for flat surfaces.

Run tap through all head bolt holes

FelPro Severe Duty head gaskets and new TTY bolts. Use Permatex thread sealer per instructions if bolts do not come with pre-installed thread sealer.

Install gaskets - block and heads clean and dry with nothing sprayed on them.

Torque per specs, with final head bolt torque established with an angle gauge.

Will seal forever unless you overheat too much.
