'95 Blazer .....recommended tranny oil cooler
Lookin' for suggestions/recommendations on an automatic transmission cooler.
The tranny is original with 88,700 miles and has never had the fluid changed.
I will be towing a VW Jetta about 400 miles.
Thoughts/ideas welcome!

Automatic transmission cooler guide and installation
Go to Rockauto, pick your vehicle , click auto transmission, click oil cooler and you'll see the options.
Plate and fin is considered superior to tube and fin by most.
You need a medium to heavy duty. You can have too little, you -generally- cant have too much.
Beware of thinking the 'obvious'. The difference with running in series and running all fluid only through the external is that your A/C wont work as well, doing the latter. There will be hotter air going through the radiator covered by the cooler so you gain no advantage in engine cooling by disconnecting the one in the rad.
