Default Reman Caliper different?

I bought a remanufactured caliper for the rear driver side from NAPA and the bleeder valve is on the bottom, not the top. Since they close earlier I checked at Advance Auto Parts and theirs was the same way. Is this right or are both places getting it wrong? It looks like NAPA is using the same part number for the left and right are they interchangeable?

I would check and see if that was packed wrong...in other words-is the one you have for the right rear. Hold it up to that side-check it, that's my thought. Any caliper that I've put on has been exactly right(bleeder in the right spot)-even if a re-man. Jerry

I dont think the parts stores care which side it is, I just looked up Autozone for the hell of it and they have this in the parts description: "Driver sidePart number may fit opposite side on some models"

I believe if you install the caliper on the wrong side it will not bleed and you will not get/have any pedal -imo. yes there is a difference though it will bolt up.

it sounds like the gave you one for the wrong side. I got remans from napa and they were the right ones. The bleeder has to be at the top or you wont be able to bleed all the air out

Went to O'reilly and got one for the other side, I was planning on doing both sides eventually anyway. I guess the lesson is know your parts.
