If you are going to take the torsion bars out completly you will need to have some other suspension mods otherwise you are going to eat front end parts .

I think he meant just remove the bolt.

Anyway, follow the torsion bar towards the rear of the vehicle. It will go into a crossmember. Look around on the underside of this crossmember for the two bolts (one on each side of the vehicle near each torsion bar). The bolts that you need to mess with will be towards the inside of the vehicle when looking at the underside of the crossmember.

Just taking it out will drop you about 2 inches.

i was meaning just the bolt itself.

ok thanks guys, i already dropped it but left the bolts after i took them all the way out. then i just put them back in finger tight. its ok just to leave them out or just leave them in like they are?

If you take them out, the torsion arm will rest on the threaded plate that the bolts go into. It won't hurt anything.

As those above have suggested, I would remove them if you don't actually have tension on them. There is no harm in leaving them sitting on the threaded plates.
