Default Removing vacuum reservoir from fender

Hi gang,

I haven't been driving my Jimmy much lately so I haven't been posting or reading too much either. However, Saturday night someone sideswiped my Buick in Downtown Seattle so I'm back to the Jimmy as my daily driver. Upon driving the Jimmy around today I noticed that the climate control issue has returned. Specifically, the climate controls are leaking vacuum again. Previously I've fixed the issues with the transfer case getting transmission fluid and that fluid getting sucked up into the vacuum system. I'm thinking that there's some ATF left in the vacuum reservoir in the driver's side fender and I'd like to remove the reservoir so I can check that out. According to the shop manual the ABS module has to come out to remove the reservoir but I'm curious if anyone has done it another way like removing the inner fender and going in from the back side. Is it possible to remove the reservoir without pulling the ABS module? That would sure save me a headache if it's possible.
