Replace BCM on 2001 Blazer
I took in my truck last year to get a BCM programmed at my local Chevy dealer. My module was fine, but I had read somewhere if you got a salvage BCM and matching Receiver for keyless entry you could have them program the module to get this feature. I was told by the dealer head service manager that programming is done with VIN number so the memory is re-flashed on the module per manufacture build specs. I told him to do it anyway and well 300 bucks later no keyless entry. Now I have to go the 3rd party route. And yes the module did not allow me to start the vehicle by just swapping it out, had to let the dealer install it and program.
