Replace Instrument Cluster now Airbag light is on
1999 4wd two door Blazer
I picked up a replacement instrument cluster from a 2000 LS to add a tach to ours. After installation, everything else worked but the airbag light remained lit after the self test.
Replacing the new cluster with the original, the light goes out after the self test.
The new cluster came from a vehicle where the air bags were deployed.
Can the cluster be reprogrammed to remedy the airbag light fault? I also understand a dealer can reflash the display to reset the odometer to the current mileage stored in the ecm.
