Replaced Intake Gaskets - Now no start...
I changed the gasket but i didn't mark the distributor. it's a 2000 s-10 blazer 4.3 with a EDI distributor. i have read and read the directions on the timing i saw at one of this post but i just can't align the rotor with de (6) mark. it is off a couple of degrees. i have tried to start it like that but it wont turn on at all. it will crank but no run. it does have fuel pressure i checked all the spark plug and cleaned them i doubled checked the timing but still can't get the pointer of the rotor to align to the (6) i have moved the shaft with a long screw driver to align it but still it won't align perfectly like it says on the instructions of the post. does any body have any ideas. that can help i would appreciate it thanks for reading this post.

You should be able to get it to point straight at the 6. Sounds like you haven't properly aligned the two marks on the balancer.

I had the same problem when I did my intake gasket.
What happened to me was that it will not fall on the 6 mark, if I pushed it down, it would rotate and miss the mark.
So what I did was put on the 6 mark, it wouldn't drop all the way down, but I manually turned the motor, the distributor would rotate and drop all the way down.
