Default Replaced Pump, now no fuel gauge - 1995

i just replaced the sending unit, pump and filter in my 95 4x4 with a 4.3 vortec, blazer why does the gauge not work. when the old pump went out the gauge went all the way around. with the new sending unit it moves but runs to bottom of the e mark to way below e, when empty, how can i reset the gauge so it moves from full to e, as its supposed to, and the needle jumps around a bit how can i fix this.

my blazer died a few times, and then started back up, and then lost pressure one day, i replaced the pump, and plugs and wires but still acts scitish. i have all the power im supposed to but it seems as it may be missin, a bit the blazer still sounds a liitle ruff, i was told possible the egr valve, does this sound correct?

jrgnsnmk, I moved your post into a new thread of it's own. It really didn't have anything to do with the thread you originally posted it in.

Have you tested the fuel pressure and leak down?

Did you make sure that all of the electrical connections at the tank were connected properly, clean, and free of debris/corrosion?
