Swartlkk Already mentioned. But mine's a 1997. Here's the Engine bay and the driver's side as a closeup.
I hadn't thought of the rag and scrrewdriver approach. But thanks for the tip on the oil pressure switch and such. I know of the Glovebox fuses, but I think I have like... 4 in there. So not sure which is which. Still, this is helpful, thanks!
Thats the ticket
But to my knowledge only 98+ trucks were able to be retrofitted with MPFI injection so what type of fuel injection spider are you replacing it with?

Any 96+ can be retrofitted with the MFI setup as they were all SCFI from 96 through the change over in 2002-ish. The trick can be whether the bracket needs to be modified or outright replaced in the earlier ones to fit the somewhat larger lines (lines & electrical in a shrink wrapped jacket).

See, I hadn't even thought or known about the bracket potentially needing modification. I did have to man-handle the lines into place as they didn't bend as easily or nicely as the smaller SCFI, but got it working with my bracket.
Bumping this with a new question related to these lines.
So I have the new lines today, and started the process of removing the old fuel lines. I've got every old zip tie clipped and any bracket I can see underneath opened and removed. I've even removed the Plenum lines just to give myself more wiggle room.
Problem is, I can't figure out how to remove these lines.
For reference, they are the lines which run from the Fuel Filter, past the transmission, up the back of the engine block, and into the plenum set and fuel injectors. Here's a photo of where the plenum lines would go.
It feels like something is still holding them in place, possibly on the backside of the engine. However, I can't obviously see what it might be, and lack a good endoscope or inspection mirror (As well as adequate lighting).
Does anyone know if there's some sort of clip, bracket, or otherwise which might be holding the lines in, somewhere between the transmission bellhousing and the top of the engine? And if so, do you have a picture of what it may look like?
I'm afraid to just try and man-handle the lines out, as I'd rather a clean removal if possible.
Any tips on how to reach or even see the darn thing? I can't quite see from below or above.
I didn't see mine until I started to pull the engine out. It's really tight back there. I always recommend that people buy a cheap borescope that plugs into a phone. They're awesome for this kind of stuff.
Just giving an update on progress. I found the bracket in question. Forgot that the better half had a cheap (Like, uber cheap) endoscope. Used it to find this:
Unfortunatly it's not the best photo, but that is indeed one of those metal brackets. If I'm not mistaken, it looks like one of the ones the lines would slide into.
Still have no idea in hell how I'm gonna reach it besides possibly ripping apart the entire driver's side of the engine bay... but it's there. So if anyone else is trying to do this job and is wondering: Yes, there's a bracket clip on the back of the block.
