Replacing the rear wheel bearings...

Trying to figure out what all it will involve. I am mechanically inclined as I replaced all of my front ball joints, so I guess that I am looking for some sort of visual and verbal guidance here. Thank you in advance and without this forum I would have struggled mightily to replace the ball joints. Now on to the rear wheel bearings of a 1997 s-10 blazer and the rear wheel bearings.

You will start by lifting and safely supporting the rear axle high enough off the ground so that you can work under the center of the axle. Then remove the rear wheels and the brake drums. From there you remove the differential cover, the cross pin retaining bolt, and the cross pin. Then drop out the transfer spider gears and push the axles in to retrieve the c-clips. You will then be able to pull the axle shafts from the housing.
From there you need to pull the bearings out of the ends of the axle housing and install the replacements.
Ofcourse, if you have the RPO code G80 (automatic locking rear differential), then things get a bit more complex, but not really all that bad.
