Exclamation Rotten egg smell

Hello everybody

I have problem with my 00 jimmy when it run I smell rotten egg from the tail pipe even if you are far away from it. So, I think maybe the O2 sensor is bad which cause wrong air ratio mixture and this will result this smell. When I check under car there no O2 sensor nothing at all.

It is possible that the car run without O2 sensor?

thank you

Smells like a burned out catalytic converter.

There are no ports for O2 sensors in the exhaust pipes or the ports that are there have no sensors in them? Do you have any codes? What are your fuel trims?

I see the original gm Catalytic converter it's not same. It doesn't have out shell. It seem like mini exhaust muffler.

I have no experience with a vehicle that has its closed loop/emissions system removed so I’ll defer to someone with experience in this level of engine mods/builds.

Here are the photos of the exhaust system

This what I mention before it seems that the Catalytic converter swapped by small exhaust muffler.

So it would seem that it has no more catalytic converter at all?

I go with George - have a look at the fuel trims. Without properly working O2 sensors the injection may be all off.

All the data on the right hand side is washed out and unreadable.

It looks like someone hacked out the O2 sensors and cats. Not a big deal if a speed density tune was properly done, but I'll bet a six pack that's not the case Your truck will just stay in open loop forever and run off the VE tables in the ECU. Is your CEL disabled too?
