I have a '04 Blazer, 4x4, 4dr. I've noticed rust on the trim on the doors that runs parallel to the ground. I've circled it in the image below. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a paint recall?

 

When I worked at Saturn they called it something like rail dust or something like that. You should be able to clean it up with a clay bar. Its just little specs of what looks like rust dust right? This is more common on white, gold/tan, and silver vehicles. Hope this helps.

 

had one once with that same issue. Scotchbrited the mouldings, primed em, obvoiusly masked off the surrounding areas and sprayed em. This Blazer was an 02 with the same color keyed mouldings that you have and the Blazer was from and spend its whole life in North Carolina, so it wasn't rust but I'm not sure 100% what it is but it's fixed and that's how I did it.
