Default S-10 Heater Problems (no heat)

I have a 95 S-10 Blazer that I've owned for twelve years. I recently changed the blend air door actuator (and heater core since I had the dash out for the B-A door) and I didn't think to check to see everything worked before I re-installed the dash. Being it was summer I thought all was good, since I now had cold AC, but going into winter I discovered I have no heat. Besides the newer parts mentioned it has a 180 degree thermostat, new hoses, new radiator and the water pump is about three years old so I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I might check before going through the whole dash removal thing again. I would appreciate all inputs. Thanks, Rich

No heat at all, or just insufficient heat? If no heat at all, the blend door actuator (electronic actuator) likely is stuck on full A/C and not directing the air through the heater core.

I appreciate the quick response and I apologize for posting in the wrong section. I realized my mistake after posting then surfing the site. Anyway, definitely "no" heat! Not even a hint of warm air but thanks for the reply. I was afraid someone might say the blend air door actuator but I had my fingers crossed. Not great weather for pulling the dash again!

You could try to get at it by dropping the glove box door down.

Are both heater core hoses at the same temperature?

Yes, unfortunately both hoses feel the same. I initially thought I may have an air block but they do feel warm. I haven't tried disconnecting them since I replaced the heater core but I sure was considering it before going for the dash. Just out of curiosity, which one of the heater hoses would be the supply and the return. When I replace the heater hoses I replaced them with OEM molded hoses and the one most inboard (top) goes to the top of the water pump with the outboard hose going to the front of the intake.

The door and door frame can be removed but the compartment portion of the glove box is factory melted to the dash. Good idea though, especially if it wasn't like I mentioned.

Also both hoses feel about the same temp.

Thanks for the suggestion, Rich
