I own a 1997 Blazer, does anybody know if they make a conversion so I can mount the oil filter direct? Or is the satellite filter system my only fit.

 

I think all you need is the adaptor that screws onto the block where the hoses go now ..... should be able to get one at the wreckers from an Astro or Safari van.

 

That's what you need, it threads into the block and your filter screws on it. If you have a 4x4 there may be issues with clearance to fit a full size filter, I've heard of people running stubby filters but I don't know the part number for them.

 

I read that you can run a 2WD filter with that kit.

 

In AC Delco parts terminology, the 2WD is PF 47. The 4WD calls for a PF 52. These can be cross referenced to WIX or whatever filter brand you prefer.
